Dear Community,

In the interest of strengthening our community, we have been working together with the women group, hereafter referred to as “UWEMN”. Despite months of dialogue, we could not find common ground regarding the 2025 boat cruise.

Since we had already booked and paid deposits for the 2025 UGAMN African Boat Cruise, it was not practical to cancel and lose money so as to move to another location as UWEMN wanted us to do.

We have maintained a positive relationship with St. Croix River Cruises, and it is not fair to them for us to cancel our plans. Therefore, we will go ahead to provide a community cruise for Ugandans, infused with an East African flavor.

Our hopes of collaborating with UWEMN are not lost. Since we serve the same community, we will make another attempt to find common ground with their leaders next year.
